Here’s what each of the seven teams that got Kevin Durant in the trade

The official terms of the trade between the Phoenix Suns and the Houston Rockets took a while to come out, even though the move happened two weeks ago. That’s because there was more work to do. The Athletic said that the trade would be historic because it would involve seven teams, making it the first deal in NBA history.

Without a question, Durant’s trade to Houston is the biggest deal in NBA offseason so far. The already huge deal had to get even bigger because of the CBA and the salary cap. ESPN announced on Sunday the full terms of the Durant trade and what each of the seven teams will get.

Take a look at these:

Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, Khaman Maluach, Rasheer Fleming, Koby Brea, Daeqwon Plowden, and a pick in the second round

The Houston Rockets

The Brooklyn Nets

Jayme Mashack and Alex Toohey

The Atlanta Hawks

Trade for a second-round pick, Cash for David Roddy

Timberwolves of Minnesota

Durant also made an official social media post about the trade on Sunday. In it, he thanked the Suns company for their support over the last two years.

“I’m no longer in Phoenix. All of these stops along the way have had a good effect on me. Remember that there is a world behind the scenes, and the people who work there hard to make our lives as players easy. I like the quick conversations I have with everyone, from the support staff to my friends’ distant cousins. It makes me feel like I’m part of a family, no matter what. I really think that the NBA is a big family. A lot of love to Arizona. Houston, “I can’t wait!”

This is what the Rockets did to try to win a title. Durant, who will be 37 years old in September, has averaged 25 points per game for the last 16 seasons. He is the only player in NBA history to do that for four different teams. He has won the most NBA titles and most valuable player awards twice, as well as 15 all-star games and four gold medals at the Olympics, which is the most in the history of men’s basketball.

The Rockets are coming off their first 50-win season since 2018-19. CBS Sports Research says that they were sixth in defensive rating (111.7) and second in rebound rate (53.6%) last year. Aside from getting Durant, Houston has been busy this summer. The Rockets also gave extensions to coach Ime Udoka, forward Jabari Smith and center Steven Adams, and signed Dorian Finney-Smith in free agency.
